I owned a private clinic with 20 bed strength. With a lot of patronage and support I could expand it to a multi-specialty hospital after 15 years in this service. Managing a bigger institute was not a bed of roses as we had not known many a modern day managerial procedure being one belonging to old school. My son who graduated from ICRI in healthcare management with an MBA was our saving grace. He had learnt all the nuances of managing a hospital at this institute. Today we are able to handle everything smoothly because of his streamlined planning and management. This goes to show how a right person at the helm can make a lot of difference.
